Last night, the courtyard of the Church of Christos in Livadi came alive once again, filled with hundreds of locals and visitors who gathered to enjoy every moment of Astypalaia’s beloved annual festival!

From the early evening, people began arriving to pay their respects at the small chapel—and to secure a spot for the celebration that would follow. As night fell, the festival truly came to life.

Traditional island songs, accompanied by the sweet sounds of the violin, stirred the crowd—young and old, Greeks and international guests alike—who surrendered themselves to the warmth and authenticity of the island. The vibrant atmosphere reflected the spirit of Astypalaia and the locals who lovingly preserve the tradition of this joyful event year after year.
