Flavors of Astypalaia Featured at a Gastronomic Exhibition in New York!

Astypalaia recently took part in one of the largest culinary events held annually in New York City, USA. The island’s fine local products, along with those from other Greek Aegean islands, were showcased to a distinguished audience at the James Beard Foundation, who were truly impressed by the high-quality traditional recipes!

Chefs St. Misomikes, Chr. Athanasiadis, I. Gavalas, G. Stylianoudakis, and P. Diamantis prepared dishes that offered attendees a true taste journey during the event dedicated to the South Aegean.

It’s also worth noting that Izabela Wojcik, a representative of the James Beard Foundation, made particularly complimentary remarks about Greek cuisine, stating among other things: “It would be our pleasure for this collaboration to continue, as Greek gastronomy is currently at an exceptional level.”
